Mini Album with Hinge Binding #1 | Birthday Themed

Hello, hello, hello!

After a long, long, time, I am back with a new project that is not a part of a blog hop or a DT project :P Not that didn't enjoy any of those, it's just that posting your own projects after so long feels great. :) :)

So today, I have for you, my first Mini Album with hinge binding. Yeah, baby! I did the binding too. I know a lot of you crafters out there have already done this before, but it was my first so I was super impressed with how amazing the technique was and how fabulous the result.

It also needs mention that I made this way back in June 2014. But since I haven't been taking any custom requests since then, I wasn't actively posting projects. So without further ado, I'll share pictures.

Here's the cover of the album.

I used 6"x6" Patterned papers from various collections (all listed at the end of the post) and various die-cut embellishments and stickers to make all the pages. The album was a collection of messages for the birthday girl from all her friends, with one page dedicated to each.

Behind each page was a pocket for a letter. Each letter was at least an entire A4 page long. So I folded the letter, tied an organza ribbon around it and inserted it in the pocket. So that would make it easier for it to be pulled out. I added vellum as the first and last page too

On the side of the album, I added the year, so she'd remember when this album was gifted to her.

That's all I have for now. I have a video of this album too. I'll share this on my YouTube Channel on Wednesday. So make sure you've subscribed to it. And on Thursday, I'll share a Throwback Thursday post - an old card that I haven't blogged about :)

Love,
Nikita.
