Valentine's Day 2014 | Project 1 - Accordion Card

Hello people!

I am back after a really long time. It's two months late, but I am now sharing the projects that I made for Valentines' Day. Sadly, I didn't make any for my husband. :(

Anyway, this one is an accordion card and was requested by one of my friends from school for her husband, and in a rare occasion today, I am going to type less and get straight to the pictures. Lesser than normal, I meant. :P

When I was making this, I was still in love with the Quilled Creations Rose Die and I thought I'd use them here. :)

This is a die-cut from Kaiserkraft's Hopscotch Collection.

A couple of wood veneer hearts!

I printed the sentiment and cut the edges of the CS before distressing it.
I added some roses at the bottom as well.

Here's what the front of the card looked like.
The 'Such a Sweetheart' tag is cut out from a 12x12 Sheet from Crate Paper's Flea Market Collection.
I cut it out, punched a circle on the top and run an organza ribbon through it.

The inside of the card had four panels. Her husband loves photography and music, so two panels were dedicated to those and one of the other two had their picture and the last one held a tag (once again from Kaisercraft's Hopscotch Collection) for the message.

Some close-ups!

The picture embellished with some stamped hearts, a sticker and some twine.

The photography panel with stamped hearts and a colourful stamped sentiment...

...embellished with a wood veneer camera stuck on a piece cut out from a 12x12 Dear Lizzy sheet.

...some wood veneer chevrons...

...and a speech bubble cut out from a 6x6 paper from Bo Bunny's Ad Lib Paper pad.

The music panel with a paper pieced heat embossed Guitar..

And lastly a pouch with a tag for a message.. :)

Here are the products used to make this card...

That's all for today!

Nikita... :)

  1. This is a very detailed project...lots of pretty elements...wood veneer die cuts certainly add a special edge...card is obviously not a masculine one but doesn't go overboard with the girly stuff either

    1. Thank you!! The grey was supposed to neutralise the pink.. I am glad it was evident!! :)

  2. That's a v good idea...... Card plus a couple of photographs.

  3. Thank you, Kripa! But I cannot take credit for the idea :)

  4. This is great! Love the shape of the card, the details and the photos!

Leave me some love!
