Valentine's Day 2014 | Project 2 - Love-ly Card

Hello all!

Today I am sharing the second card I made for Valentine's Day 2014. This card request was through a referral through another crafter. Our very own Pooja Khupse (of the BGC fame) recommended me for one of her husband's colleagues who wanted to send a Valentine's Day card to his wife in India. It was extremely nice of her to recommend me and I was really happy to make this for their friend's wife!

After he saw a couple of pictures of my work, he wanted a tweaked version of this kind-of-vintage anniversary card that I had made. I got pretty specific instructions regarding the tweaks I had to make so it didn't involve too much thinking on my part. Also, as this was for a lady, I could go heavy on pinks and reds!! :D :D

So, before I show you the original card that I tweaked, here are a few peeks of certain elements on the card. :)

 Pink twine that goes around the card a couple of times and is then tied in a cute little bow.

Heat embossed butterflies using Ranger's Superfine detail Seafoam White Embossing Powder on Vellum.

Wood veneer birds...

Wood veneer hearts! :)

And a printed sentiment embellished with pearls!

He wanted his wife's name on the card and I had just ordered a lot of wood veneer pieces so I wrote her name using wood veneer alphabets!

A lot of products have been used on this card and unfortunately there's something wrong with the Simon Says Stamp section of my inlinkz which is why I am not able to create a product list. So I'm listing them down (everything except reusable tools like the paper trimmer, score board, acrylic blocks, etc.)
