Hello everyone!
I am sharing another box card today and I am so, so proud of this one. It was requested by a guy for his fiancée's birthday and he wanted us to go all out and make the best one possible. He also wanted her name to appear somewhere on the outside of the box. So Moumita and I thought, this was the perfect opportunity to do some lettering with 3mm quilling strips! And here's what we came up with.
We picked two colours from the pictures - dark pink/red and green - and started with that as a base to pick patterned papers, and here's what we had.
The pink mixed media sheet is from DCWV's Mixed Media Mambi Collection.
The green printed sheet is from one of the 12x12 sheets that Karuna destashed.
This one one in particular was Fancy Pants Designs, I think.
The solid CSs used for layering (both pink & green) are from DCWV's Scrapbook in a Stack 8x8 pad.
So let's see what we did here.
One side of the box said 'Happy.'
We did that with red quilling strips and added a few butterflies on the side.
Here are a few close-ups of this side.
The 'Happy' was done by Moumita..
Somehow, all the pictures taken of corners came out horribly!!!
I guess after three and a half years, it's time to get a new phone.
Yes, all these pictures are clicked from my iPhone camera! :D
Here's another corner.
Another corner...
This is the outside of the box before the cake was stuck in.. :)

The next side said 'Best Wishes Dearest Khaula'
Because this request came in a little late and the green PP was already adhered to the CS base,
this had to be done on a piece of white CS converted into a tag.
Take a look.
The edges of the tag re distressed using Crushed Olive Distress Ink.

As there was nothing to write on this side, we only did butterflies...
On the lid, we did one LARGE daisy with a fringed center and added some pearls along the sides.

And now for the gorgeous inside.
We did butterflies on the inside too but the huge difference here was the heart shaped 3-tier cake.
We did a 3D heart in the Valentine's Day Boxes, so we just worked off that
and converted that design into a 3-layered cake.
Also, we made tiny quilled roses to embellish the cake...
Take a look.

Papers used are mentioned at the start of the post
I'll be back with another post soon. I haven't made up my mind about whether I want to do a Throwback Thursday post tomorrow (as there are a lot of older projects NOT shared on the blog yet) or wait till Friday and share another page from the scrapbook. Well, you'll know soon enough!! :D :D
Till then,
Have a great day!
I am off to make some coffee to accompany me during these rains and do some drafting/editing work!
Love,
Nikita... :)
